Kim learned to play golf at age 4 and started developing her teaching skills as a swim instructor through high school and college. After establishing a long career in the hi-tech industry she decided to go back into instruction and has been teaching golf since 2001. For 10 years she was with American Golf as Director of Instruction for both Summitpointe and Monarch Bay Golf Clubs. She developed and directed Corporate Instruction Programs and Team Building events. Kim started the Silicon Valley Golf Performance Center (SVGOLFPC) in January 2012.
Kim is a proud member of the LPGA, is a Class “A” Teaching Professional and a graduate of Titleist Performance Institute Seminars (www.mytpi.com). She enjoys helping people realize their full potential as a golfer by identifying their body’s needs for strength and flexibility that could be limiting their swing and game. For Kim, this has made golf instruction not only more exciting, but more meaningful by helping each individual become physically stronger on and off the course!
Kim enjoys all levels of instruction from helping good players become great to helping new golfers by “de-mystifying” the game and making it more enjoyable.

Shelley’s teaching career was born out of her love of sports, natural athletic ability and her desire to help others reach their potential. She worked for several years in the Napa Valley school system as a Physical Education teacher and later migrated toward the areas of Health and Fitness and Life Coaching.
Golf came into Shelley’s life in 1997, when, after a few lessons, she felt the call of competition too strong to ignore. As an accomplished amateur, Shelley finished out her playing career by qualifying for the USGA Women’s Senior Amateur National Championship. Having achieved her competitive goals, she turned to her passion – teaching.
Aha! is the moment of transition from the often confusing shadow of any learning process to the light of understanding. That is the moment Shelley has lived for since she discovered her passion for teaching over 25 years ago. That “light bulb” moment and the joy that accompanies it, for both the student and teacher, are unmatched in her eyes.

Mandy spent her childhood in Colorado growing up playing various sports, but it was golf that ultimately captured her heart. She has been playing various degrees of competitive golf for nearly 25 years. She began working in the golf industry fresh out of college as a golf shop assistant and quickly worked her way up to an Assistant Golf Professional teaching clinics. As she began sharing her passion for the game with others, she discovered that teaching was her true calling and fell in love with it.
A few years after turning Professional, Mandy battled with multiple wrist issues and a major shoulder injury that nearly ended her sports career. This prompted her to change focus and adopt a holistic approach to golf instruction, emphasizing the connection between the body and the swing.
She understands that each individual has a unique swing, and her philosophy centers on helping players move and swing in a way that suits their specific needs.
Mandy is a LPGA Class “A” member, TPI Level 3 certified, and U.S. Kids 2 Golf Instructor with nearly 15 years of teaching experience. She is also an ACE certified Personal Trainer and has been guiding clients in golf specific training for the last 8 years.

My father introduced me to golf at age 7, and by 10 I was competing in junior golf tournaments. I continued to play through high school, eventually becoming captain of the James Logan High School boy’s varsity golf team.
After high school, I pursued a degree in Computer Science at UCSD where I embarked on my career as a software engineer. After 10 years in the tech industry, I returned to golf and became a certified coach at Golftec. I am now a PGA Associate Professional and a Lead Club Fitter for Taylormade, actively participating in local professional golf tournaments.
My coaching approach combines my technical background with a focus on both skill development and strategic decision-making, helping golfers of all levels improve their game.

Coach Rena is a native of Menlo Park where she played high school golf at Menlo-Atherton High School. In high school, under the coaching of Donn Levine for the JCC Maccabi games, she won the gold medal in Detroit.
Following her strong junior success, Rena played two seasons at Jackson State University (1999–2001), consistently competing in the number 1 and number 3 positions for Head Coach Eddie Payton. She co-captained the team, helped secure two Southwestern Athletic Conference championships, and earned multiple honors, including the Coach’s Award, Dean’s List recognition, and membership in the National Foreign Language Honor Society.
Coach Rena transferred to the University of Arizona, where she joined the Wildcats’ roster and provided depth and competitive energy within the team. She played alongside LPGA Hall of Famer, Lorena Ochoa, as well as other noted golf professionals.
Rena attributes much of her personal and athletic transformation to her involvement in junior golf, which provided structure and support during her formative years.
